Donington 2016 2017 Winter series

Hi all

Planning is underway for the 2016/17 winter series championship

Regulations and entry forms will be on the websites in the coming weeks once we have had our planning meeting

There are 2 Main differences this year, we will be on the super smooth tarmac lake for all the championship and this year Loughborough car club will be running this years championship (the reason being we will alternate between the 2 clubs to organise the championship annually)

There will be some more changes which will be come evident after the planning meetings

This year Loughborough will be looking after the winter series below are the Regulations and entry form and Rules This year there are 3 major changes

1) The MSA rules have changed and AutoSolo competitors will have the option to carry
a passenger. Our intention is to encourage as many competitors as possible to take
part in the AutoSolo. The Loughborough Championship will only use the AutoSolos.

2) We will continue to offer a Production Car Autotest (PCA) to accommodate the very
small number of competitors who wish to use a non-roadgoing car, the PCA will not
have classes or awards.

3) All the events will take place on the wide open super smooth Tarmac Lake (Sunday
Market site)

Round 2 10th December

Mid Derbyshire MC will be running Round 2 of the Winter series on the 10th December and will be requiring people to help with set up and timing etc. If you are able to help please let me know

Hi All

Many thanks to all of you that entered and sorry to hear those that couldn't make the event.

Attached are the final results from this weekend I would welcome any comments good or bad so we can follow these up and hopefully make these events better if needed

One small problem we had on the day after the event had completed, one vehicle took it up on themselves to thrash off around the island from the tarmac lake towards the old melbourne hairpin, should this happen again any competitor doing this kind of action will be excluded from the event and asked not to enter the events at this venue, we have a very good relationship with Donington Park and don't want to put this in jeopardy.
